Who manufactures RM Gear products?

RM Gear is a Finnish brand (RM Parts Oy). We design and manufacture our helmet mounts, MicMounts, CanMounts, and Wallmounts ourselves in Finland. For some of our product range, such as accessories and universal mounts, we utilize reliable manufacturing partners to offer a wider selection at a competitive price.

What material are the products made from?

We always choose materials based on their intended use. For helmet mounts, MicMounts, and Wallmounts, we use carbon fiber-reinforced technical composite material: it is lightweight yet extremely stiff and strong, and highly resistant to UV radiation, rain, mud, and temperature fluctuations from freezing to scorching heat. For CanMounts, we use a more flexible technical plastic because the can mount needs to flex slightly to allow the can to be easily snapped into place and removed – a rigid material would not work as well in this application. Do you ship internationally?

Yes. We ship to Finland, the EU area, and worldwide. Delivery time and costs are calculated at checkout according to the delivery country.

How quickly is an order delivered?

Deliveries to Finland typically arrive within 1–3 business days. The exact estimated delivery time is shown at checkout once the delivery address is known.

What payment methods do you accept?

You can pay securely with Klarna, Apple Pay, and card payments, among others. All payments are processed encrypted through reliable payment intermediaries.

Which helmets are RM Gear mounts compatible with?

Our mounts are designed specifically for each model – each mount is made precisely for a certain helmet model, not as a "universal model." Our selection includes mounts for over 35 helmet brands, including AGV, Shoei, Arai, HJC, Schuberth, LS2, Scorpion, Nolan, Airoh, Shark, Bell, BMW, Harley-Davidson, and many others. You can most easily find your helmet using the search field on the homepage or in the FIND YOUR HELMET menu. We are constantly adding new models.

Why is a model-specific mount better than a universal model?

Model-specific design means that the mount fits the contours of your helmet perfectly. This ensures a stable, vibration-free attachment – universal models often remain loose, resulting in shaky footage and an insecure attachment.

Is the mount suitable for GoPro, DJI, or Insta360 cameras?

Yes. The mounts are suitable for GoPro, DJI, and Insta360 cameras, as well as other action cameras with standard mounts.

What does the mount package include?
You get everything you need in one order – no need to hunt for missing screws or extension pieces separately.
The package includes:
• A model-specific RM Gear mount with pre-attached 3M tape – cut to the correct size and shape specifically for your helmet model
• A J-Hook mount
• A Basic Clip
• Two extension arms of different lengths
• A safety lanyard
• An alcohol wipe for cleaning the mounting surface
• Installation instructions
So, there's no need to cut the tape yourself or figure out where it goes – it's already in place.

What should I do if my helmet model is not in the selection?

Contact our customer service – we will help you find a suitable solution, and we are constantly adding new helmet models.

Does the helmet need to be drilled?

No. Installation does not require drilling or modifying the helmet. Clean the mounting surface with the included alcohol wipe and press the mount into place – the 3M tape is already on the mount.

Does the mount stay in place while riding?

Yes. Model-specific design combined with industrial-grade 3M VHB tape provides a sturdy and vibration-free attachment. Allow the tape to cure for the recommended time before the first ride and check the attachment regularly. The included safety lanyard provides additional security.

How long does the mounting tape last?

3M VHB tape is designed for long-term use in demanding conditions. The durability of the attachment depends on the installation, the helmet surface, and the operating conditions. We recommend replacing the tape approximately every 2 years to ensure the best possible attachment. New tapes are available in our online store.

What kind of warranty do camera mounts have?

We provide a 5-year warranty for camera mounts, covering manufacturing and material defects. The warranty does not cover normal wear and tear, incorrect installation, misuse, external damage, or accidents. We offer a 2-year warranty for the mounting tape.

Is attaching a camera to a helmet safe?

The mount is designed for use according to the installation instructions. Please note that the product is not personal protective equipment nor a device that enhances helmet safety, and it is not an officially approved accessory by helmet manufacturers unless otherwise specified. Always install the mount according to the instructions, ensure the security of the attachment before each ride, and comply with local laws. Use of the product is at the user's own risk.

What is MicMount?

MicMount is a microphone holder specifically designed for motorcycling and action vlogging. It allows you to securely attach a wireless microphone to a motorcycle, car side, or any other filming subject in seconds – without modifications or taping.

Which microphones are MicMounts suitable for?

We manufacture model-specific mounts for all DJI microphones: DJI Mic Mini, DJI Mic 2, and DJI Mic 3. Each model has its own mount designed specifically for that microphone – not a universal model that would fit loosely.

Why do I need a separate microphone mount?

When the microphone is placed close to the exhaust or engine, you capture authentic, clean riding sounds without wind noise – that is, what makes a riding video good. A regular handheld microphone stand or taping won't withstand riding speed or vibrations.

What does the MicMount package include?

The package includes a model-specific MicMount with 3M tape already pre-attached and cut to the correct size, as well as an alcohol wipe for cleaning the mounting surface. You don't need anything else – the installation is complete immediately.

How is MicMount installed?

Clean the mounting surface with the included alcohol wipe, press the MicMount into place, and allow the tape to cure for the recommended time before riding. No drilling or other tools are required.

What else can MicMount be attached to besides a motorcycle?

In addition to motorcycles, it works for cars, ATVs, and virtually any filming situation where reliable and discreet microphone placement is needed.

What kind of warranty does MicMount have?

What is CanMount?

CanMount is a mount that allows you to carry a drink can with you on a motorcycle, moped, or virtually any flat surface.

Which can sizes are CanMount suitable for?

Each CanMount is designed precisely for one can size so that the can fits snugly and does not move during riding. You can choose the size according to your favorite drink:
• 0.25 l – small energy drink and soft drink cans
• 0.33 l – traditional can size
• 0.5 l – large cans

Can I buy all sizes at once?

Yes. We also sell a package of three mounts, which includes all three sizes (0.25 l, 0.33 l, and 0.5 l). This is the most convenient choice if your drink size varies or if you want to attach multiple holders in different places – or if your riding buddies need their own.

How is CanMount attached? Does it require drilling?

No drilling is required. CanMount attaches with high-strength 3M tape, which also dampens engine vibrations. Installation is complete in under a minute.

Can the attachment be secured further?

Yes. The sides of the mount have pre-drilled holes for a zip tie (0.5 mm), which allows you to securely lock the holder in place even for more vigorous riding.

What kind of warranty does CanMount have?

We provide a 2-year warranty for CanMounts, covering manufacturing and material defects.

Is it safe to use CanMount while riding?

Installation and use are always at the user's own risk. Before riding, ensure that the holder and can are securely in place and do not interfere with the vehicle's controls or moving parts. Also, remember that local laws always apply to carrying and consuming alcohol – please comply with them.

What is Wallmount?

Wallmount is a wall-mounted gear rack that allows you to store your helmet, riding gear, and keys neatly in one place. It is designed for motorcyclists who want to store their gear smartly and display it prominently at the same time.

What can be hung on the Wallmount?

• Helmet safely and securely
• Riding jacket or suit (with a hanger)
• Keys, gloves, and other smaller items in the same place

Is Wallmount suitable for sports other than motorcycling?

Yes. Although it is designed for the needs of motorcyclists, it works equally well for other sports equipment – for example, for skiing, snowmobiling, downhill, or ATV gear. Anything where you need to store a helmet,
jacket, and small items in one place.

What does the Wallmount package include and what is needed for installation?
The package includes everything needed for installation:
• The RM Gear Wallmount
• Screws and wall plugs
• Screw covers for a neat finish
• A mounting template with pre-drilled holes in the correct positions – you can mark and drill holes in the wall accurately without measuring
You only need a drill and a screwdriver yourself.

What kind of wall can Wallmount be installed on?

The included screws and plugs are suitable for standard interior walls. Always ensure that you use fasteners appropriate for the wall material – for example, drywall, concrete, and wood require different fastening solutions. If you are unsure, use fasteners designed for your wall material and, if possible, attach to a stud.

How much weight can Wallmount hold?

Wallmount is made from the same carbon fiber-reinforced composite as our other products, making it lightweight yet stiff and strong. It is designed to withstand the weight of full riding gear: in our own long-term use, a helmet and a full leather riding suit have hung on the rack continuously for half a year without any signs of failure. Please note that the overall durability of the attachment also always depends on the wall material and the care taken during installation.

Will the rack damage the helmet lining?

No. The structure maintains its shape and does not stress the helmet's lining, so the helmet can hang on the rack for extended periods.

In what colors is Wallmount available?

Wallmount is available in four colors: white, black, green, and blue.

What kind of warranty does Wallmount have?
